# Shot

Editing one cut planned by Episode Planner.

**Use it for:** Holding one planned cut's prompt and timing.

**What it can do:** Edit its title, video prompt and duration. Review continuity
notes for the next cut.

**Inputs:** Its parent [Episode Planner](/docs/canvas/episode-planner) output,
plus compatible connected text context.

**Output:** Prompt text for Image, Video or another compatible text consumer.
The Shot card itself does not generate media.

**Try it:** Select a Shot in an existing project, clarify the action and camera
movement, then create an Image or Video branch from its output. Review a ready
image before using it to guide the video.

**Remember:** A Shot belongs to its episode. Its timing describes the planned
cut; the chosen video model still controls supported generation durations.
