# Extract Video Segment Taking the first or last part of a generated video as a reference. **Use it for:** Taking the first or last part of a generated video as a reference. **What it can do:** Extract and save a short MP4 in the browser. **Inputs:** One finished Video node; a directly uploaded video asset is not this node's source input. **Output:** A saved video segment for a compatible Video or Motion Video reference. Use it to guide a continuation, rather than expecting automatic stitching or guaranteed seamless motion. **Try it:** Create the segment node from a Video output, set seconds and **First** or **Last**, then choose **Confirm**. Connect the saved segment to the next Video's compatible reference input. **Remember:** Changing the source, duration or position requires extracting again. This is a first/last segment tool, rather than a general timeline editor. ### Watch the setup These short demos show setup or existing results. Generation and analysis are started separately after you review the inputs and displayed price or allowance. #### Choose seconds and First or Last ![Choose a video segment duration and position.
